December 14: Clayton's 7th Birthday Party


He was so excited about today and had been counting down the days all week. He had a great time & was blessed with some amazing gifts!! Art stuff, science stuff, and spy stuff. All right up his alley. Just add some Garfield stuff and you're peering through a window into my childhood. :) Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with us!!! I still cannot believe I have a seven year old... Sheesh.

Those are my chocolate chip cookies. One word: FAIL. I cannot for the life of me bake decent chocolate chip cookies, ever. 

Banana or pumpkin bread? Nail it. 

Muffins? Check.

Cupcakes? Delish.

But from day one, chocolate chip cookies have been my arch enemy of bakery. I am almost 32 years old, & that is how my cookies turn out. What. The. Elf. Speaking of the Elf, I should've had him do it. 

Does anyone have a foolproof recipe for the cookie-challenged that they'd like to share? Like one from Cookies For Dummies. I'm open to suggestions. :)
